A portion of the proceeds from the Legends of Oglethorpe will be donated to the historic preservation of Beth Salem (formerly The Lexington Presbyterian Church), a historic property owned by the City of Lexington. Projects for the property needed include: HVAC, insulation, electrical upgrade, handicap accessibility, and restroom facilities.

Registration for 10:30am show opens at Oglethorpe County Court House
First presentation of Legends of Oglethorpe begins with performances at the Oglethorpe County Courthouse and Beth Salem on Church Street, Lexington. Ticketholders will be directed to their starting location when they check in at registration.

Six individuals who played roles in Oglethorpe County’s rich history will share intriguing stories and historic facts about their lives. Each character, brought to life by an actor in costume, will present a seven to ten minute monologue about their contributions to our county, state, and nation. The presentations will be in two lovely historic buildings in Lexington—the newly restored Oglethorpe County Courthouse and Beth Salem.
